Ways To Get Paid Selling Mobile Phones

Get Paid For Your Mobile

How long does it take before you can actually get your hands on cash when selling a mobile phone online to a mobile phone recycling company?

When mobile phone recycling first began and the first mobile phone recycling sites started appearing the only real option of getting your money for you mobile phone was by cheque. However due the the increase of mobile phone recycling and the competition between mobile phone recycling sites all wanting to get the most customers and offer new and convenient ways to pay people for your mobile phones. So there have been some exciting new payment options introduced and more to come still.

The latest way that mobile phone recycling companies are paying people by is with an online payment processor such as Paypal and Alertpay. Paypal and AlertPay are like online banks or middlemen that can accept payment from one party and pass it on securely to another. Those parties being the mobile phone recycling company you are selling your phone to and yourself.

Getting paid by cheque has always been the most widely used way to get your money. Most mobile phone recyclers send you out a cheque for your mobile phone with 5 days of receiving it. You would then have to pay that cheque into your bank account and wait for it to clear. That can take about another 5 odd days. While it does involve some waiting, you can definitely get your hands on your cash guaranteed soon enough.

The other option of getting paid for your mobile phone that is also offered by many mobile phone recyclers is to have your money directly deposited into your bank account. This is know as a BACS transfer and is pretty instant. The good thing about it is you don't have to wait for your cheque to arrive and clear shaving off about 5 days before you can withdraw the money.

But mobile phone recycling sites offer payment by cheque, bank transfer, Paypal and AlertPay and some can even pay out in Gift Vouchers such as Argos or Tesco's vouchers. The bonus to this is that you will get an additional 10% on top of the cash value for accepting payment via the voucher option. And the savvy people can still turn that into cash and end up with more money for selling a phone than for taking the cheque or bank transfer payment option. This might be worth doing if you know how to turn vouchers into cash and are selling a more expensive make and model of mobile phone. Mobile Phone Xchange are paying Argos Vouchers for old mobile phones with more offered this way than the cash option. But SellOldPhone are currently the top paying mobile phone recycler if you just want to wait for the cash by cheque or bank payment.

The other option available that befits the whole environmental recycling industry is to donate a part or all of the money your mobile phone is worth to charity. A lot of mobile phone recycling companies often have connections to certain charities and can donate some proceeds to their cause. It's worth considering anyway.

I hope that this has been a good primer for you for when wanting to sell your mobile phone online and have been wondering how long it will take before you can actually get your hands on the money for your sold mobile phone.
